Clipart is cheap and often free. Complete lessons can be made in this way and used an infinite number of times. You can make uyp your own libraries of clip-art on particular subjects.

Digital cameras allow normal drawings to be shot, and also offer a variety of animation techniques to be used.

Scanners are suitable but slow, and limited to drawing (not cut-out or model animation).

Drawing tablets are best used for modifying drawings or tracing rather than creating them. Not ideal for class work or young children.
